Who can become an affiliate with Affiliate Compare?
Anyone can join, all you need is a website or blog.

Why sign up to Affiliate Compare and not to a normal Affiliate Network?
The main benefit of signing up to affiliate compare is that we keep all the information from the merchants up to date. We also do the hard work of comparing prices from all the merchants so you can get on and work on other projects that require more effort.
Affiliate Compare offers you a simple way to embed or display price comparison details on a range of product categories on your website and get paid commission on all sales.
By all means sign up to a merchant directly, but we provide a service that is easy to setup and use. We provide a service of great value to your visitors, but it all looks like the hard work has been performed by you, as you can tailor colours and fonts to make everything blend into your site.
Can I place AffiliateCompare services on any site?
Once you have been accepted into the main program and have been provided with a username and password you will be able to add any number of sites and host Affiliate Compare services on any site. Please be aware that the sites that you add must still adhere to the main domain acceptance criteria of affiliate compare.
There is no limit.
Does it cost anything to sign up and work with Affiliate Compare?
No, no costs are attached to being a member of Affiliate Compare.
How do you track my visitors' transactions?
All members are given a unique site ID every time they create a new service. Your site ID will be included in all your embedded and popup links you use. If one of your visitors clicks through to a merchant's site and they purchase an item, the affiliate network software tracks your ID and the sale is recorded. We then display your sales in our report section.
What is a 'cookie'?
A 'cookie' is a type of virtual 'bookmark'. Every time a visitor of yours goes through to a merchant's website from one of your links, a 'cookie' is dropped onto the visitor's site. The majority of cookies have a 30 day expiry date - this means that if your visitor performs a transaction within 30 days, you will acquire the commission (even if your visitor bypasses your website and goes straight to the merchant's site.)
All cookie lengths are displayed for each online retailer we use.
Is there a restriction on the type of site that can use Affiliate Compares services?
Yes. We do not accept websites that are pornographic or sites that promote illegal activity of any nature. Affiliate Compare has the right to remove and delete any account with such content.

Do I need any technical skills to use Affiliate Compare services?
No, as long as you can copy and paste code you can make use of our basic service, by just having a search box on your site. To use our embedded service you must be able to host PHP pages with your web host with allow_url_fopen to be set to 'On' in your php.ini settings and have 2 web templates ready to use.
Is there a minimum number of sales I have to make a month?
Yes, your account will be reviewed every 6 months or so, if your account has been left unused for any left of time and you have not earnt any commissions then your account will be closed and you will be paid for any commissions you have made so far.
What are the commission rates?
The commission rate you can earn differs between merchants.
We list all the commission rates the pages once you have logged in.
Is there a demo I can try before signing up?

How can I tailor the pages to look like my site?
We have set up a number of named CSS classes that you can reference to change the appearance of most aspects of the Affiliate Compare results.
This option is available in both the PopUp and Embedded options.
Once you have logged in there is a help page about the CSS settings under the 'User Guides' menu option.
I want Amazon results displayed in my Site IDs
Not all sites can have Amazon results included in their results, only sites that request Amazon or those that have medium to high traffic volumes can have Amazon included.
If you want Amazon results included in your search results then please contact us via the Support Request form once you are logged in.

What happens if the comparison service provides errors when I use it?
First of all please check your 'services' settings and make sure they are correct. If they have not changed or results produced are not correct then please log on and visit the support area, from here you can raise a support request. Please provide as much detail as possible so to help us help you with your problem.
PAYMENT
When will I get paid?
You will get paid as soon as we at Affiliate Compare get paid. We will make sure that you get paid two months after the transaction date. We will make payments to you monthly at the beginning of every month. There is no minimum payment level, if you get paid using PayPal or Bank Transfer, otherwise you must have a minimum of £20 in your account in order to get payment via Cheque.
Do I have to pay tax on my commission earned?
Any commission earned is classified as income and therefore may be subject to tax depending on your individual situation. If you are a UK resident then you should seek professional advice to ensure compliance.

How do I sign up?
Please click here to Sign up, once you have completed the form you should receive an email confirming your details. We wil then evaluate your application and the sites you wish to use in conjunction with Affiliate Compares services. Your website must be fully operational. If accepted you will receive a username and password. You can them log into the control panel system and start to create your affiliate compare comparison services.
How do I view and amend my contact and site details?
After you have logged on, select 'Your details' from the menu. Then you can change any of your details, including your contact details, payment details and site details.
How do I view and amend my site services?
After you have logged on, select 'Service details' menu from here you can view all your services you have created. You can delete services and also create new and amend your present services.
What happens if I have forgotten my password?
There is a forgotten password facility on the main login page. This will email you a new password to your registered email address. Find the Forgotten Password page here.
How do I close my account?
Closing your Affiliate Compare account is not a problem, just email use with your Company ID and please tell us why you want to close your account. We will then contact you for security reasons to make sure you want to close your account, you account can then be closed and all owing commissions will be paid to you at the regular payment time.
